Novo Nordisk’s new landscape is an interpretation of the phenomenon known from danish woodlands; the dead-ice landscape. The nordic landscape cements the strong and distinct brand which defines Novo Nordisk and mediates the company's unconditional commitmentto innovation. The pathways winding through nature stimulates the senses of its emplyees and facilitates knowledge exchange, discussions, synergy and social meetings between employees in transit (Source from SLA).
This is a park designed to withstand tremendous storm event in response to tclimate change scenario. Surface runoff and rainwater collected from building will be stored in an underground reservoir, in which the water can be reused and recycled. All other water infiltration will be either absorbed by soil, which is held by a product called Strata Cells. The decision to make use of this product has been carefully made by the lead landscape architect, who claims Strata Cells can ensure plantings above underground carpark natural and healthy growth. This project demonstrates a perfect combination of landscape architecture and technology solution.
